How to add Taros to your DanDomain webshop
A step-by-step guide to installing the Taros chat widget on your DanDomain webshop using the Design Manager.
DanDomain is one of the most popular webshop platforms in Denmark. Adding Taros to your DanDomain shop takes just a few minutes. Here's how.
What you need
- A Taros account with a paid plan
- An AI assistant set up and trained in your Taros dashboard
- Access to your DanDomain Design Manager
If you haven't created your assistant yet, do that first. Train it on your website, upload product documentation, or add FAQ pairs manually. Test it in the dashboard until you're happy with the answers.
Step 1: Copy your embed code
In your Taros dashboard, go to your assistant's Widget Customizer. At the bottom you'll find your embed code. It looks like this:
1Click Copy to copy it to your clipboard.
Step 2: Open the DanDomain Design Manager
Log in to your DanDomain administration panel. Navigate to Design Manager and find the design template your shop is currently using.
Click Ret design (Edit design) to open the template editor.
Step 3: Insert the script
In the design editor, click the Indsæt JavaScript (Insert JavaScript) button at the top of the page.
You'll see two fields. Paste your Taros embed code into the field labeled "Til indsættelse i bunden af \<body\>" (For insertion at the bottom of \<body\>).
Do not paste it in the \<head\> field. The widget script needs the page to be fully loaded before it runs. Placing it in \<head\> can cause it to not work correctly.
Step 4: Save and test
Click Gem (Save). The widget goes live immediately.
Open your webshop in a browser (use an incognito window to avoid caching issues) and verify that the chat bubble appears. Send a test message to make sure responses come through correctly.
Add your domain to allowed websites
Back in your Taros dashboard, make sure your DanDomain shop URL is listed under your assistant's allowed websites. This prevents your widget from being embedded on unauthorized domains.
Go to Widget Customizer and add your shop's domain (e.g. yourdomain.dk) to the allowed websites list.
Cookie consent
The Taros widget may set cookies in your visitors' browsers. DanDomain has built-in cookie consent functionality — make sure your cookie notice covers third-party tools like chat widgets. You can configure this in DanDomain's cookie settings.
