How to add Taros to your Webflow site
Webflow lets you add custom code at the project or page level. Here's how to install the Taros chat widget.
Webflow gives you full control over custom code, making it straightforward to add Taros. Here's how.
What you need
- A Taros account with a paid plan
- An AI assistant set up and trained in your Taros dashboard
- A Webflow site on any paid site plan
Step 1: Copy your embed code
In your Taros dashboard, go to your assistant's Widget Customizer and copy the embed code:
1Step 2: Open project settings
1. In your Webflow project, click the gear icon to open Project Settings
2. Go to the Custom Code tab
Step 3: Add the script
Paste your Taros embed code in the Footer Code section. This inserts the script just before the closing </body> tag on every page.
Click Save Changes.
Step 4: Publish
Custom code in Webflow only goes live when you publish. Click Publish in the Webflow Designer or from the dashboard to push the changes to your live site.
Per-page installation
If you only want the widget on certain pages:
1. Open the page in the Webflow Designer
2. Click the gear icon next to the page name in the Pages panel
3. Scroll down to Custom Code
4. Paste the embed code in the Before </body> tag field
5. Publish
Test it
After publishing, open your live site in an incognito window and confirm the chat bubble appears. The widget won't show in the Webflow Designer preview — you need to check the published site.
Don't forget: allowed domains
In your Taros dashboard, add your domain to the allowed websites list. Include both your custom domain and your .webflow.io staging URL if you want the widget to work there too.
